Tom Lynch a Tiger

Sometimes when a player misses lots of football due to injury we forget about the talent a player posses. For mine, I think we may not realise just how big of an inclusion this is for Richmond.  The acquisition of Lynch could easily be the biggest ‘IN’ for any side this trade period.

At 25 he’s coming into his prime and has already been awarded All Australian honours back in 2016 and has led his previous club for the past few seasons, a great illustration of the leadership characteristics he possesses.

Speaking of that season, from a fantasy perspective he played 22 games averaged 86 in AFLFantasy including 7 scores over 100, while in SuperCoach he averaged 93 and had 9 scores over 100. Either side of that season he averaged about 80 in AFLFantasy and in the mid-high 80’s in SuperCoach.

With the quality and likely high quantity of ball that will come into Tom in the Richmond forward line I can see him getting back towards his 2016 average and as such he will become relevant especially in SuperCoach where his game style is rewarded from a points scoring perspective. I can see him lifting his average anywhere from 12-20 points per game.

In AFLFantasy, he’s still relevant in draft formats of the game but I’m not sure I can see him averaging well over 90 where our likely top averaging forwards will be.

Do you think Tom is fantasy relevant as a Tiger?
