In the past two years, it’s two premierships and two Norm Smith medals for Dustin Martin? What does 2021 hold for him and for fantasy coaches that select him?
It was a warm 32 degree day with gusty winds at the infamous Norm Minns Oval in Wangaratta. The Tigers were without Dusty, Cotchin, Houli, Tommy Lynch, Riewoldt and Edwards. Whilst the Pies had Grundy, Pendles, Sidebottom, Moore and Howe missing. Was a good hit-out for both teams, low tackling affair where the Pies had it pretty much on their terms before running out 40 point winners.
One game delivers him one premiership medal. It was a phenomenal debut from Marlion Pickett, and the benefit for fantasy coaches is we can now select a premiership hero as a cash cow in 2020.
In the past few seasons, Dustin Martin has achieved almost every possible success in the AFL. In 2020 he’s returned for fantasy coaches as a dual position player and the fantasy footy community couldn’t be happier.
2019 was a personal best season fantasy season from this now two-time premiership Tiger. Can he back it up again in 2020?
It was a tale of two halves with the Hawks dominating the first while the Tigers came out on top in the second. Both sides would’ve felt like they got what they wanted out of the game, but from a fantasy perspective we learnt plenty.
After a stunning 2017 where Dustin Martin won everything except the Coleman Medal a slight drop off could be understood. Does he bounce back to his fantasy footy best this year? I think he could!
