Koel Kings: Round 5 Captains

Welcome to another Koel Kings we can talk weekly captaincy options. The difference with this year’s captaincy advice is we won’t be telling you who is the best captain selections overall or even ranking them, but instead explaining who our previous Nobel Koel winners will be selecting in their teams and why.

Rainman: VC Lachie Whitfield should continue his Rich vein of form. Captain Jackson Macrae should do well against the blues expecting 120 plus

Bakas: VC – Stef Martin is a different proposition to Tim English but backing Brodie Grundy to have another big game. Captain enter the in form Lachie Whitfield to have a day out against a side that defenders have scored big this season.

Dave: Locking in my new mid Lachie Neale as my VC this week and thinking with the blow torch on the Crows this week Matt Crouch should bounce back as my C in waiting.

Russ: VC – Treloar will bounce back and go 120+.
C – Macrae will go huge up against the young Blues 130+

Troy: VC – Hoping Grundy backs up a big score like last week. C – Choosing Danger here, loves the big stage versus the Hawks.

Rainman: Backing Clayton Oliver to turn it around against the saints so he gets the VC. Patrick Cripps is a beauty and hard to go past as SC captain if needed.

Bakas: VC – Can’t see anyone from Freo being able to run with him so Lachie Whitfield gets the first crack. C – The unstoppable beast that is Patrick Cripps to save the day again if required after last week’s debacle of forgetting to set the VC on Grundy.

Dave: Locking in Brodie Grundy as my VC this week after his monster last week and having the Crippsonator with the Captain’s role if needed.

Russ: VC – Neale is dominating and no tag from Levi 130+.
C – Cripps the beast will just pump out a lousy 140+

Troy: VC – Lachie Neale is dominating and scores higher in this format. C – Danger again, scored 130 & 160 last season.
