The first move of the trade period was Reece Conca joining the Dockers. From a fantasy perspective Reece has always shown potential, but never fully delivered due to a combination of injury and also battling to get into the Tigers best 22.
Only once since joining the Tigers (back in 2011) has he managed to average over 80 in both SuperCoach & AFLFantasy, however, in his final year as a Tiger he started to put some decent scores together on the board. This was most evident between Rounds 11-13 where he scored 104, 104 & 92 in AFLFantasy while for SuperCoach he went 106, 83, & 87.
He’s certainly going to be in the mix get some time through the midfield especially with the likes of Lachie Neale likely to depart the club. However, the Dockers will have plenty of kids they’ll want to give time to some of their developing talent like Brayshaw & Cerra.
I don’t see him pushing his average well into the high 90’s at this stage, which is what he’ll need to do in order to consider him for even just as a few week runner in AFLFantasy.
While it’s always best to wait until the end of the Trade and drafting period to fully best analyse the future relevance of a player, I’m confident that Conca will likely be relevant only later in draft and potential in some daily fantasy sports games depending on match ups.

What do you think? Is Conca fantasy footy relevant as a Docker?
